Freeze drying

Freeze-drying is one of the most revolutionary innovations, but it can completely change the way cannabis is processed.
The key benefit of this processing method is that the flowers retain a higher concentration of terpenes and cannabinoids. These components are the basis of the aromatic and qualitative properties of cannabis. Thanks to freeze-drying, Freeze Dried CBD Flowers also have a significantly longer shelf life, as the removal of water minimises the possibility of contamination by mould and bacteria.

Process and quality

The main advantages are that freeze-drying takes a noticeably shorter time. We only need about 16-24 hours to freeze-dry cannabis fully. In contrast, conventional drying can take between 7 and 14 days. Freeze-drying also gives much more reliable results - there is no risk of mould infestation as in conventional drying, the cannabis flower retains its size (no shriveling), a beautiful greenish colour is the rule, or if the cannabis flower is green and not purple before harvesting. Freeze drying eliminates the loss of terpenes in the plant (leaving a full flavour and aroma) and increases the concentration of naturally occurring cannabinoids from 4-5%.
